Mt. Olive AME Zion Church In-Person Attendance Protocols

Please register below after reading the protocols.

1)     An online registry will be posted on our Facebook page where persons who desire to attend will enter their name and answer the questions concerning your vaccination status. You are not required to be vaccinated to attend; however, we do need to know this information. Registering allows us to have an approximate count and prepare for how persons would be seated.

2)     When persons arrive, we ask that you enter through the side door at the parking lot. Only those who use walkers or wheelchairs should enter from Club Blvd. A temperature check will be done at the door, then you will sign-in your attendance. This provides for us the names of those who were actually present for contact tracing, if necessary.

3)     Ushers will be available to help seat you. As best we can we will maintain social distancing, so we ask that families sit together (wives/husbands/children). In order to maintain social distancing, this will mean that you may not be able to sit in the same pew as you did prior to the pandemic, and that you may be seated differently each week. This may be a minor inconvenience but we ask that you bear with us in order to maintain social distancing.

4)     Masks are required. Masks and sanitizer will be available for anyone who needs them.

5)     Fans will be on during service to help circulate the air. The CDC recommends “fresh air ventilation,” but we cannot open our windows. Therefore, we will keep the fans on to help circulate the air. The Trustees will also change our air filters more frequently to keep the air fresh as possible.

6)     We will not have full choirs for the foreseeable future. There is not enough room in the choir stand for social distancing.

7)     Unless you just absolutely have to go to the restroom, we ask that everyone will remain seated during the service. We will not take the offering as we did before; instead, persons will be encouraged to continue to use Givelify for their offerings. There will be a basket in the back where persons who do not have Givelify can drop their checks/envelopes as they leave.

8)     When service is concluded, we will exit through the Club Blvd. doors. We encourage all persons to exit by pew in an orderly fashion and not linger. All greeting/talking can be done outside. Pastor will come out to the parking lot and greet as many persons as he can after service.

FIRST TIME In-Person Attendance Registration Form (Form 1**)

Please complete this form for first time attendance for in person worship; each individual person, all ages, who plans on attending Sunday Morning Worship.

This form should be completed by Saturday evening, prior to Sunday morning worship.

**If you have attended an in person service and have previously completed this form, skip to form 2 (below).

FORM 2 - WEEKLY SUNDAY WORSHIP ATTENDANCE.

Returning members / guests please complete form 2 if you have completed the top form (at least once) and have attended at least 1 in person worship service.

This form should be completed each week on or before the Saturday evening of planned Sunday morning worship attendance.

This form should be completed before 11:59pm the Saturday prior to intended church attendance.
